Professor Shaw is inaugural Professor of eHealth and Director of the Research in Implementation Science and eHealth Group (RISe) at The University of Sydney. He is an internationally recognised leader in the impact of technology on healthcare and translation of evidence into practice. Over the last 5 years he has been CI on over 20 grants and consultancies totaling over $12M. He is a CI and implementation lead on the Sydney West Translational Cancer research Centre and is leading the development of the Data Innovation Lab in the Westmead Hospital Precinct. He has an active international program and he teaches annually on the Harvard Macy program on Innovation in Healthcare and Education in Boston and has acted as an advisor to the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, Partners Harvard Medical International and the Joint Commission in the United States. He will participate in the development and running of the Fellowship training program and contribute to the development of the research program.
