CIB: Professor Glasziou is Professor of Evidence-Based Practice and Director of the Institute for Evidence-Based Healthcare, Bond University, a Research Lead on the NHMRC Partnership Centre for Health System Sustainability, a member of the Australian Alliance for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare (AAAiH) and a past NHMRC Australia Fellow. Paul is a founding member of the International Collaboration for the Automation of Systematic Reviews (ICASR). Established in 2015, ICASR established 8 principles to ensure the integrity of systematic reviews and has developed a range of systematic tools (including software) available to researchers and developers. Normally a one-year process, systematic reviews can now be completed within two weeks. The group is also working on sites and processes for making software, code and datasets publicly available to improve clinical decision support tools. In 2018, the world’s first fully automated systematic review on recurrence of cardiovascular events post stent procedures was presented at ICASR in London. He is a world leader in Evidence-Based Medicine and General Practice research. Articles have appeared in key general medicine journals such as the MJA (53), Evidence Based Medicine (43), BMJ Online (34), Journal of Clinical Epidemiology (29), BMJ (26), the Lancet (26) and the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (25). He has authored three books and eight book chapters related to evidence based practice
