Associate Professor Blanca Gallego-Luxan

CII: Associate Professor Gallego is a Senior Research Fellow, Centre for Health Informatics, Macquarie University. She has extensive international research experience in data analysis and computational modelling. Her work on bio surveillance using pathogen genotypes was highlighted during the American Medical Informatics Association’s Year in Review as one of the year’s notable events in translational bioinformatics. She is a partner investigator on the ‘Green Button’ project run out of Stanford, and has worked in clinical analytics for more than five years, with papers appearing in journals such as BMJ Quality and Safety. Her PhD received the UCLA’s Bjerknes award for outstanding research.
